In fact, two-post lifts are the most widely used automotive lift design in professional service facilities because of their proven strength, reliability, and efficiency.

MaxJax is engineered by the same team responsible for our full-size commercial lift systems. Every component—from the columns and lift arms to the hydraulic system and anchoring hardware—is designed using advanced engineering principles and extensively tested to meet demanding performance and safety standards.

How MaxJax Stays Secure

Unlike traditional commercial two-post lifts, MaxJax does not rely on an overhead crossbeam for structural support. Instead, each column is securely anchored to a properly prepared concrete slab using heavy-duty concrete anchors specifically designed for automotive lifting applications.

The overhead crossbar found on many commercial lifts primarily serves as a routing path for equalization cables and hydraulic hoses—it is not intended to support the vehicle's weight. MaxJax achieves the same structural stability through its engineered base design and certified anchoring system.

Heavy-Duty Anchoring System

Every MaxJax anchor is manufactured from zinc-plated carbon steel with an expansion wedge design capable of generating tensile holding strength of up to 16,500 lbs. per anchor under proper installation conditions. Together, the complete anchoring system provides a substantial safety margin well beyond the lift's 7,000-lb. rated lifting capacity.

If your concrete condition is questionable or does not meet installation requirements, do not install or operate the lift until the installation area has been evaluated. Optional epoxy anchor systems are available for approved applications where additional anchoring performance may be required.

Important Safety Requirements

For safe operation, always:

  • Install MaxJax only on properly cured, level concrete that meets the specifications outlined in the installation manual.

  • Ensure all concrete anchors are correctly installed and fully tightened before operating the lift.

  • Never exceed the lift's rated 7,000-lb. capacity.

  • Position lift arms only at the vehicle manufacturer's recommended lifting points.

  • Raise the vehicle slightly and verify stability before lifting to full working height.

  • Always lower the lift onto its mechanical safety locks before working beneath the vehicle.

  • Inspect anchors, lift arms, hydraulic components, safety locks, and cables regularly for wear or damage.

  • Keep all people clear of the lift while raising or lowering a vehicle.

  • Operate the lift only after reading and understanding the complete installation and operation manual.

Operator Responsibility

Safe lift operation depends on proper installation, regular inspection, routine maintenance, and trained operation. Never operate a MaxJax lift that has damaged components, loose anchors, missing safety devices, or signs of improper installation. If any condition appears unsafe, discontinue use immediately until the issue has been corrected.
