How much does each MaxJax column weigh?
Each MaxJax column weighs 300 lbs. (136 kg) and unless you're Mr. or Mrs. Olympian, you're not going to be dead lifting these around your garage. Both columns have 4" rubber casters that make moving the columns around as easy as a utility dolly. Of course, if you want to become Mr. or Mrs. Olympian, dead lifting these columns will get you there in no time!
How does the MaxJax rise evenly?
Before leaving the warehouse, each MaxJax passes through the Department of Wizardry and a magic equallous levitationous spell is cast on the columns! Ok, ok... we wrote that to see how long before our bosses notice. The truth is, the MaxJax is equipped with a cast-iron geared flow divider that distributes the flow of hydraulic fluid equally to each column. Because the gears are joined mechanically, they rotate at equal speeds which results in equal flow from the outlet ports during operation. We like the former explanation, but you can't always live in fantasy, right?!
What keeps fittings from leaking?
Every MaxJax car lift unit ships with a set of flush-face quick-connect/disconnect hydraulic fittings that never leak even when connecting or disconnecting, not even a drop! Each flush-face, zero-leak fitting is designed to prevent hydraulic oil or ATF from leaking, ensuring your frames function properly at all times.
