Proper installation, routine maintenance, and following recommended operating procedures are essential to creating a safe working environment. Before using your lift, every operator should read the complete Operation & Maintenance Manual and understand all safety instructions, warning labels, and operating procedures.
Operator Safety
MaxJax lifts should only be operated by trained individuals who understand proper lifting procedures and safe work practices.
Before every use:
Inspect the lift for worn, damaged, or missing components.
Verify the lift is correctly installed and securely anchored during operation.
Confirm all safety devices are functioning properly.
Make sure the work area is clean, well lit, and free of obstructions.
Never allow children or unauthorized individuals near the lift while it is operating.
Operators should never use the lift while fatigued or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication.
Lift Vehicles Correctly
Safe lifting begins with proper vehicle positioning.
Always:
Stay within the lift's rated lifting capacity.
Position the lift pads only at the vehicle manufacturer's recommended lifting points.
Use all four lift arms every time.
Ensure the vehicle is balanced before raising it.

Never attempt to lift a vehicle that exceeds the rated capacity or has an unsafe weight distribution.
Always Use the Safety Locks

After raising a vehicle:
Lower the lift onto the safety locks before beginning work.
Verify both posts are locked at the same height.
Never work beneath a vehicle supported only by hydraulic pressure.
Always confirm the lift is fully engaged on its safety locks before entering the work area beneath the vehicle.
Inspect Before Every Use
A quick inspection before each lifting cycle can help prevent accidents and equipment damage.
Check for:
Hydraulic leaks
Loose anchor bolts
Damaged hoses
Worn lift pads
Missing decals or safety labels
Proper operation of safety locks
